How to Prepare for RRB-JE CBT-1???????

Railway had released a notification for recruitment of Junior Engineers on 2nd January and the Link for Online Application was also activated the same day.

Railway is conducting the exam in two stages. First stage consists of Non- Technical Section. The various sections in the first paper are Quantitative Aptitude, General Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness. The weightage of various sections are as follow:

Quantitative Aptitude - 30

General Reasoning - 25

General Science - 30

General Awareness - 15

Railway is conducting the exam in this format first time. The students will have to go through a proper strategy to crack the exam in single attempt. Only hardwork is not sufficient but SMART HARDWORK is a must. You don't need to cover the whole syllabus but be very careful while choosing what to study and what to not.

General awareness has the lengthiest syllabus with minimum weightage. There detailed coverage of this section should be avoided. You should also note that Current Affairs are very important part in this section. Therefore, either yu need to read a newspaper daily or buy any monthly magazine covering all the aspects. General Reasoning is the most scoring section while consumes minimum time. A proper practice of various topics in General Reasoning can help you to save time and score more. Practice at least 200-300 questions on every topic. ( Which topics in Reasoning needs more attention - We will discuss about it in another blog post.)

General Science is another scoring topic. Go through the NCERT from 6th to 10th and also, there are a number of books available in the market. One thing that you keep in mind is that spend more time on practicing questions. It will help you to remember the facts and concepts for a longer time.

Quantitative Aptitude may seem to be very tough for Diploma Students but with proper practice and short tricks, you can save time. This portion is the most scoring once you become comfortable with it
